Scope and content: Two volumes containing receipts of the Auditor of State for scrip paid to soldiers and civilians for services during the Civil War. Included are scrips 1918 to 2546 dated August 18, 1868 through October 28, 1869; scrips one through forty-six dated April 21, 1869 through September 28, 1869 for the 19th Kansas Volunteer Calvary; and scrips one through five-hundred sixty-five dated March 6, 1869 through June 17, 1969 for the 1st Battalion Kansas State Militia. The scrip receipts are pictorial and state the recipient name, amount, for what service, and date.
