Scope and content: Letters to Kansas Governor St. John in relation to rewards offered for the capture of various criminals in Kansas. One letter asks for a reward for the capture of John and William Burke who are accused of stealing a pair of mules. A separate letter from a citizen of Junction City, Kansas asks the Governor to increase his reward offer for the capture of the murderer of George Didrick. The file includes a copy of an affidavit for the arrest of Millard Eaton, who is accused of murder in Lincoln County, Kansas. Accompanying documents include petitions for rewards as well as capture and arrest of certain criminals.
