Scope and content: A news paper clipping of Kansas Governor St. John?s Proclamation for a reward for the capture and arrest of James Burks and Samuel Walters, who are accused of the abduction of Amelia Speer on June10th, 1882. A letter from Henderson and McBrian, Attorneys at Law, request the Governor offer a reward for the capture of Burks and Walters. A separate letter from Dr. March of Clifton, Kansas asks the Governor to provide a description of Walters and Burks.
