Scope and content: These letters, spanning 1887 to 1888, are from various individuals regarding the Centennial Exposition of the Ohio Valley and Central States to Kansas Governor John Martin. Most of the letters discuss the appointment of delegates to the centennial exposition as well as the acceptance of those appointments. The governor appointed G. M. Stratten and G. W. Clement as the delegates. The Centennial Exposition of the Ohio Valley and Central States was held in Cincinnati, Ohio from July 4th to October 27th, 1888.
