Scope and content: These letters, spanning February 1885, are from individuals regarding the National Cotton Planter's Association convention to Kansas Governor John Martin. The letters discuss the appointment of delegates to the convention as well as the acceptance of the appointment as delegate. Martin appointed C. W. Keifer, James W. Gaw, and J. H. Fullenwider as delegates. The National Cotton Planter's Association convention was held in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 10th, 1885.
