Scope and content: This file contains a letter and several pages of signed petitions sent to Kansas Governor St. John in relation to matters in Graham County. A letter from J. Stanley informs Kansas Governor St. John there is an effort by a party to organize the county of Graham, but that he desires no organization for some time, he says this is also the sentiment of many inhabitants of Graham County. There is a petition from legal electors of Graham County requesting the Governor designate Gettysburg as temporary County Seat.
