Don Buel Schuler

Architect. Born: March 16, 1888, Englewood, Clark County, Kansas. Died: June 26, 1972, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

 Don Buel Schuler was born March 16, 1888, in Englewood, Clark County, to parents Buel M. and Florentine (Patchen) Schuler. 

He graduated from Fairmount College, now known as Wichita State University, in 1911, and the University of Illinois in 1916 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He married Joy Davis on June 22, 1916, in Wichita, Sedgwick County.

 His architectural firm, Don Schuler and Company, designed First Methodist Episcopal Church in Stafford, which is in the National Register of Historic Places. Schuler died on June 2, 1972, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
