Adopt an Artifact - Carry Nation dress
Temperance leader Carry A. Nation is among the most well known women in Kansas history. The Historical Society’s collection includes her diary, photographs, clothing, and personal items. Nation’s white dress is deteriorating and in need of conservation. Included in the Kansas Museum of History's exhibit on Kansas' sesquicentennial, the dress raised about $150 in funds from the public. The cost of conservation for this dress would be $8,000.
