Archeology artifact identification

Staff members may be able to help identify prehistoric stone, bone, shell, pottery artifacts, and early historic artifacts from archeological sites in Kansas. Appointments for in-person identifications may be scheduled, but emailed photographs are preferred, with multiple images of different angles of the object. Please also include a scale in at least one photograph or the dimensions of the item and information about where it was found.

Please email Project and Outreach Coordinator, Paige Bump, paige.bump@ks.govwith any artifact inquiries.

Appraisals cannot be given.
